Candle Care‎ & Safety

Different candle types call for slight different care, so you will find candle care specific guidance below to hep you burn each one safely and well.

Candle Safety

Candle Safety

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep away from children, pets, drafts and flammable materials.
  • Keep the wick centred and upright
  • If the candle produces soot, extinguish with a candle snuffer. Allow to cool before trimming the wick and re-lighting.
  • Place candle on a stable heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep a distance of at least 10 cm between candles.
  • Use a snuffer to extinguish. Do not use water.
  • Stop use when about 1 cm of wax remains.

Octagon Spiral Candles

  • Trim wick to 0.5 cm before each burn
  • Keep away from children, pets, drafts and flammable materials
  • Beeswax has a higher natural melt point. For the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface (approx. 2.5 hours). This helps reduce tunnelling and promotes an even burn
  •  Do not burn for more than 3 hours at a time to prevent to prevent wax spillage
  • Keep the wick centred and upright
  • If the candle produces soot, extinguish with a candle snuffer. Allow wax to cool, before trimming the wick and re-lighting.

  • Do not touch or move the votive glass holder while hot
  • Only burn in a heat-resistant votive holder
  • Do not burn for more burn for more than 4 hours at a time

  • Keep at least 10 cm between burning candles
  • Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface
  • Stop use when approx. 1 cm of wax remains
  • Only burn votive refills in a heat-resistant votive holder
Beeswax Tealights

Beeswax Tealights

  • Keep away from children, pets,drafts and flammable materials
  • Do not touch or move the glass holder, metal cup or tealight holder while hot
  • For beeswax tealight refill use a heat resistance tealight holder
  • Only burn tealight candles in a heat-resistant holder
  • Do not leave candle unattended
  • Place on a stable heat-resistant surface
  • Do not burn more than 4 hours at a time
  • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish. Do not use water.
  • Keep at least a distance of 10cm between burning candles
